Matthew & Elise with baby bunnyJuly was a very eventful month.  First a wild rabbit had her babies in Matthew & Elise’s sandbox. Next  my daughter, Lesley, and her two children flew out from California for a visit

Lesley, Reenie & InaJeannie and Tim hosted a party at their house in town so the cousins could visit with Lesley and the children.  Click this picture to see one of that.  I drove back up north with Lesley and stayed at Ina’s for a week.  Lesley and the kids visited there from Jeannie’s cabin.  Here Lesley is with Reenie and Ina.  Jim stayed at Jeannie's in Lino Lakes.

Reenie, Ina, Mom & MeAnother highlight of July was the GREAT ROAD TRIP, from July 25 to August 2.  My sisters and I rented a crossover SUV and took my mom to Portland, Oregon, to attend her grandson's wedding.  The car was a Chrysler Pacifica.

Dorian, Mom, Riley & TristanDorian and Tristan are my brother Mike and Wanda's sons. At the rehearsal dinner mom got to hold her newest great grandchildren for the first time.  Click the picture to see more about the pictures on the wall.

Dorian & KathyDorian and Kathy were married at the Willamette Gables Riverside Estate (bed & breakfast), a big old plantation-style house on the Willamette River.  The reception dinner was served in the garden under huge old walnut trees.  The patio served as a dance floor for the dance that followed.

Mom Gene Hartfield (my mom), was 95  years old last February and she came through the trip with flying colors.  In this picture she is holding her great granddaughter, Brooklyn.

Tristan's familyTristan holds Riley while is wife Shawn admires the hat Ina knitted.

Forest FireOn the way home we drove through a forest fire east of Missoula on Interstate 90.  We saw lots of smoke and even a few hot spots still burning.  It was amazing that there were buildings that looked untouched.
