We started the month in Las
Vegas. We went there for two reasons. We wanted to
see all our friends and we wanted to clean out our storage.
We didn’t get either done, so we are going back at the end of
February. We hadn’t really gone through our nesting materials
since we stored them in 1996. One of the things we found was
our first cell phone. Compare it to the one we have now.

We did get to play some pinochle
with our friends Judi and Jerry, but we both got colds and had to
postpone the other visits.

On
the 6th we drove back to California to attend the MMAP Christmas party
and then moved to Palm Desert to spend time with Jim’s brother and his
wife at their condo in Palm Springs. You’d never guess these
guys are brothers would you?

Every morning Marilyn and I
walked through historic Downtown Palm Springs. On Thursdays
evenings they close the street to all but foot traffic for a street
fair.

We
stored the rig and rented a car to drive to Chico for
Christmas. Our first stop was at Dave’s (Jim’s son) in
Vacaville. Dave loves computer games and demonstrated one
called The Rock Band
Game for us. Click the picture to see how it works.

We spent Christmas with Lesley
(my daughter) and her family in Chico. On Christmas morning
we sent Seth to the garage to look for a box to put the wrappings in
before we stated opening gifts. Surprise surprise, click the picture
and see what he found.

Meagan
was thrilled to get a new I-Pod from Santa and Seth could hardly
contain himself. He’s our technology expert and he helped her
get it all set up.
