At left is a picture of mom back home in her favorite chair. I stayed in Minnesota for a 18 days. At first we weren't sure she'd live, then the therapists weren't sure she'd ever walk (which would mean staying in the nursing home the rest of her life). She worked hard at her therapy and was able to go home the day I flew back to California. At that point she could walk about 35 feet with a walker. A week later she even managed to dress herself and at last report she no longer needed help getting up at night. She is accomplishing some new skill almost every day. How many people over 80 can even say that?
